Sparkling Reviews
What a fab book!! Loved reading this to my four year old. So easy to grasp the good feelings inside as the sparkle feeling. Great size too for little ones hands.

Ordered the book, unsure of what to fully expect but overall very pleased. Pleasantly surprised at how well packaged it was so didn't get damaged in the post.

The cover is so eye-catching, my kids played with it in the sun to watch the cover sparkle. The pictures and story are good. Shows lots of different people and how everyone should just get on.

This book is so simple but really explains kindness and that bullying is a choice and not acceptable. Love the sparkle stealer analogy!

As a teacher, I’m always looking for books that help children understand and talk about their emotions in a way that feels safe, simple and engaging. This book does exactly that. The idea of a ‘sparkle’ is such a lovely, child-friendly way of introducing concepts like kindness, empathy and self-worth. It’s a metaphor that children can easily understand and use in everyday conversations.
The illustrations are bright, inclusive and engaging, representing children from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities in a natural way. I particularly love how the story encourages children to look after their own wellbeing, speak to trusted adults when they’re upset, and recognise the importance of kindness towards others.
This would make a fantastic addition to any classroom, school library or home bookshelf. I can imagine using it during PSHE lessons, circle time or simply as a story to spark meaningful discussions about emotions, friendships and bullying. It’s a thoughtful, positive book with an uplifting message that children are likely to remember long after they’ve finished reading.

I bought copies of this book for my young grandchildren and they loved it. It has become a regular bedtime story book.
They enjoy both the text and the illustrations. Listening to the book immediately led to lots of discussions about various situations they may find themselves in and how to react in positive ways. They are very enthusiastic about offering suggestions of how to deal with different situations.
The introduction of diverse characters encourages an appreciation of different cultures and backgrounds
They particularly relate to the themed of sharing, tolerance and helping each other and keep coming up with positive ideas they can put into practice. They love the idea of helping someone to sparkle and to be able to a sparkle themselves. Sparkling had now become an adjective to describe their own behaviour.
This is a book that can be read over and over again with each reading leading to a different and positive discussion with young children leading to deeper discussions as they get older.
As an ex teacher of young children I would whole heartedly recommend every classroom to have a copy of ‘Have you helped someone to sparkle today’. It is perfect for individual reading and as an introduction to group or class discussions on many important issues facing children in our world today.

This book keeps children talking about 'Sparkling' long after the book has been closed. My son never tires of reading this. The message is so simple for children to grasp. Excellent purchase!
